We are currently seeking a Graduate Bid Writer to join our New Business Team in Sidcup.

The Role

If you have a passion for writing and are eager to learn and grow within a supportive environment, this is the perfect role for you.As a Graduate Bid Writer, you will assist with all elements of bid and proposal writing and management, including the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ), tender, and presentation stages.

You will also support other marketing and business development activities as required. This role offers a comprehensive training program that will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to advance within the bid writing profession.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to plan, manage, and complete selection questionnaires and tender submissions.
  • Research and write specific information to support bids, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Read and review all associated client documentation provided with the bid.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of the bid library, ensuring up-to-date and high-quality content.
  • Review submissions for quality and accuracy, contributing to the creation of winning bids.
  • Research and compose case studies that highlight the company’s strengths and successes.

Essential Skills/Knowledge

  • A-level or equivalent in English Literature/Language.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in IT, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • High levels of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all written work.
  • Ability to work independently and is self-motivated, while also thriving in a team environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Degree educated in English or another writing-based subject.
  • Interest in the construction industry and a willingness to learn about its intricacies.
  • Ability to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels within the company.
  • High levels of commitment to producing winning submissions and contributing to the company’s success.

Package

  • Salary: £27,500 per annum.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (1 hour for lunch).
  • Holidays: 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays, birthday day off and Christmas closure.

Additional Information

  • At the interview stage, you will be required to complete an aptitude test.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Initial six-month probationary period.
