BM Trada and FIRAS Accreditation

All work carried out by AD is done so in compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, HSE guidance (e.g. HSG168 – Fire Safety in Construction), and Building Regulations and in accordance with our ISO:9001, ISO:14001 and OHSAS:18001 accreditations.

AD is FIRAS accredited (NK4062) for installation of door sets. We replace door sets in accordance with the clients’ requirements and specification and manufacturers guidance/specification, ensuring required rating for location.

We are members of many accreditation and sector bodies including the Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) and we obtain regular updates on legislation, best practice and training opportunities. We also have a number of supervisors accredited in Exova BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door Maintenance Scheme and Fire Door Installation Scheme. This accreditation allows us to carry out certified fire door installation and maintenance repairs and clients can trust in us to ensure that we safely inspect and repair fire doors. Our supervisors are responsible for maintaining the scheme standards by ensuring that all processes are followed correctly and for training operatives. AD is audited every six months to ensure we are fully compliant with Q Mark guidelines and performing to a consistently high level.

AD have a number of approved installers for Gerda FDS Complete Range. Gerda trains installers in both fire safety theory at the Gerda Training Centre and on site in clearly structured and monitored courses. Successful attendees are awarded certificates of approval.

AD is also accredited in Exova BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Stopping and we have experience across the board in managing fire stopping and compartmentation, either through our refurbishment works or as remedial works following FRAs.

This year we have carried out stand-alone fire door replacement programmes with an estimated volume of 300+ door(set)s for Orbit, Camden & Notting Hill Genesis, as well as incorporated fire door replacements and upgrades in a number of our refurbishment projects. Every install has a full suite of certification providing the client with an auditable trail of compliance and a register for future maintenance.
