Currently, we are seeking a dedicated Contracts Supervisor to join our dynamic team operating in Richmond and West London. 

The Role 

The primary objective of this position is to oversee and coordinate multiple sites, ensuring work is executed to specified standards while minimising risk to personnel, contractors, the public, and resources. This entails adherence to client specifications and site health and safety protocols.  

Given the necessity to travel between sites, a valid driving license is essential. 

Main Duties 

  • Supervising the team members, establishing appropriate performance objectives, and regularly assessing their training requirements. 
  • Ensuring team members adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols. 
  • Guaranteeing compliance with CDM regulations concerning work activities. 
  • Conducting and documenting site safety inspections to verify compliance. 
  • Regularly visiting sites to inspect completed works, identifying any issues, and providing corrective measures as necessary. 
  • Assisting in assessing subcontractors' performance and health and safety records upon completion of projects. 

Essential qualification & skills  

  • Expertise in general building practices including brickwork/masonry repairs, timber repairs, roofing, painting and decorating, timber window replacements, and internal and external communal redecoration works. 
  • Experience in Fire Risk Assessment (FRA), preferably with BM Trada or equivalent certification. 
  • Possession of a full manual driving license. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety policies. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Previous experience in a comparable role within the industry. 
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising a team of trade staff across various sites. 
  • Fundamental knowledge of IT systems. 
  • CSCS card – preferably black.  

Desirable skills 

  • Basic Scaffold Inspection (Training can be provided) 
  • First Aid (Training can be provided) 
  • IPAF Certification 
  • PASMA Certification 
  • SSSTS/SMSTS Certification 
  • Blue CSCS Card 

Package: 

  • Salary: £51,000 - £55,000 
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (1hr for lunch) 
  • Holidays: 21 days of holiday + bank holidays + birthday day off. Christmas closure.  

Additional Information 

  • A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be conducted at the company's expense. 
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. 
  • Tracked company vehicle & fuel card will be provided for business use. 
  • Initial six-month probationary period.
