Charity Fundraising Update – June

AD's chosen charity for 2019 is World Child Cancer. We aim to raise £10,000 for this excellent charity during our partnership with them.

After completing the AD to Africa Challenge in 2018 this year AD takes on the National Three Peaks Challenge.

 

So far to date AD has raised £7,585 ! Thank you all for your support and sponsorship.

 

In May Jahron undertook the Vitality 10k and the Spartan successfully completing both in excellent time and raising nearly £500 single handedly. Well done Jahron!

 

In July Sally, Andrea and Zanisha are braving a sky dive, to date they have raised nearly £2000! There is still time to sponsor them so see the links at the end of the article to support them in this amazing challenge.

 

REMEMBER EVERY DONATION MADE BEFORE 30TH JUNE WILL BE DOUBLED BY THE GOVERNMENT.

 

And then... there is the BIG challenge...

 

A team of 12 AD staff are taking part in the grueling National Three Peaks Challenge in order to raise funds for World Child Cancer. 

 

This event is truly stunning as it takes in the highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, but also immensely demanding as the team have to complete the challenge within just 24 hours.

 

The team will start at 5 am and head to Ben Nevis in Scotland; standing at the western end of the Grampian Mountains, Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the British Isles and is formed from the collapsed dome of an ancient volcano. 

 

Mountain number 2 is Scafell Pike; it is the highest mountain in England and consists of a steep ascent. The team will also descend in darkness before trying to catch some sleep on the drive to Snowdonia for the concluding climb and descent.

 

It's a difficult challenge for professionals and our team consists of staff who have never undertaken such an event before.

 

They are all putting in hours of training to prepare for the challenge and would appreciate your support!
