AD Construction Group is presented with an International Safety Award for protecting its employees from the risk of injury and ill health at work
AD Construction Group has won an International Safety Award from the British Safety Council in recognition of its commitment to keeping its workers and workplaces healthy and safe during the 2025 calendar year.
AD Construction Group is one of 230 organisations to win a Distinction in the International Safety Awards 2026.
Now in their 68th year, the International Safety Awards recognise and celebrate organisations from around the world which have demonstrated to the satisfaction of the scheme’s independent judges their commitment to preventing workplace injuries and work-related ill health during the previous calendar year. The awards also acknowledge organisations that have shown commitment to wellbeing and mental health at work.
In 2026, 851 organisations won an International Safety Award. They span all sectors with significant representation from the construction, manufacturing, oil, gas, mining, power and utility sectors. Winners were drawn from 51 countries worldwide. 230 organisations were awarded a Distinction, 428 organisations were awarded a Merit and 193 organisations achieved a Pass.
Mike Robinson, Chief Executive of British Safety Council, congratulated AD Construction Group on their success in winning an International Safety Award 2026 with a Distinction:
“Our winners have all made significant and continued efforts to protect and improve the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone in their organisations. All the winners, and those who were shortlisted, have dedicated substantial time, resources and commitment to ensuring their work, teams and workplaces remained healthy and safe during 2025. I also thank all organisations who took time to apply for these awards, and to our panel of volunteer judges for adjudicating.
It is our vision at the British Safety Council that no-one should be injured or made ill through their work – wherever that takes place around the world. By sharing the achievements of the winners of these awards, we can inspire other employers everywhere to follow their lead and give workers’ health, safety and wellbeing the priority it rightly deserves.
The long list of winners of the International Safety Awards, demonstrates that a significant number of companies recognise that effective management of health and safety risks is a business growth enabler, benefiting not just employees, but organisations and wider society. By celebrating the achievements of the 851 winners of the 2026 International Safety Awards and over six decades of improving health and safety standards around the world, we encourage other organisations to adopt this approach and place employees’ health, safety and wellbeing at the core of their business.
Our sincere congratulations to AD Construction Group. All of those working at AD should be enormously proud of their achievement.”
Richard Gordon – SHEQ Director at AD Construction Group commented:
“This achievement marks our third Distinction in a row at the International Safety Awards, which is something we are immensely proud of as a business. It reflects the consistent dedication, professionalism and care shown by our teams across every project and site.
Safety is at the heart of everything we do – not only for our employees and supply chain partners, but also for the residents and communities we work alongside every day.
This recognition is a testament to the strong safety culture we’ve built together and the shared commitment from everyone in the organisation to continually raise standards.
I would like to personally thank all of our colleagues for their ongoing efforts and commitment to keeping themselves and others safe.”

About the International Safety Awards scheme
The International Safety Awards are open to organisations of all types, sizes and sectors in the UK and internationally, both members of the British Safety Council and non-members, and relate to the health and safety management at a specific site or business unit.
