The Role 

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office, offering comprehensive support to all parts of the business. Additionally, serving as the initial point of contact for incoming calls and visitors is essential. 

Main Duties 

• Respond promptly to incoming calls, screen, and redirect them as necessary, while accurately recording and relaying messages. 

• Oversee the handling of incoming and outgoing mail. 

• Facilitate the issuing of ID badges and maintain an up-to-date database. 

• Prepare training materials for internal training sessions. 

• Ensure adherence to administrative systems and procedures for optimal efficiency.  

• Extend a warm and professional greeting to all visitors upon their arrival. 

Essential Qualification & Skills 

• Achievement of Level 4/C in GCSE Mathematics and English. 

• Strong organisational and planning abilities. 

• Basic proficiency in IT. 

• Punctuality and excellent time management skills. 

• Clear and effective communication skills.  

Additional Information 

• Salary of £15,704 per annum. 

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a one-hour break for lunch. 

• Annual leave entitlement of 21 days, in addition to bank holidays. 

• Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. 

• Initial nine-month probationary period.  

• Enrolment onto a Business Administration apprenticeship course.  

• This is a 15-month fixed-term contract. There may be an opportunity for permanent employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, subject to performance and business needs.
