We are looking for a SHEQ Admin Apprentice to be working in and around Sidcup.

Main purpose of the job: To ensure the efficient day-to-day operations on the Health and Safety team, as well as support the directors and other staff. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective administrative systems and procedures are in place
  • Assist in managing the company training database, booking any training that is needed for staff members
  • Assist the SHEQ director in ensuring office-based safety
  • Provide general administrative support to the SHEQ team
  • Maintain accurate record systems, including filing and archiving
  • Assist in the maintenance of the company’s external H&S accreditations
  • Liaise with Contract Teams to ensure all documentation is completed and information provided, in a timely manner

Entry requirements/Personal Skills:

  • Level 4/C in Maths and English GCSE
  • Good IT skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to work seamlessly as part of a team, but also able to work on your own initiative

Package:

  • Salary - £15,704
  • Hours – Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (1hr for lunch)
  • Annual leave entitlement of 21 days, in addition to bank holidays.

  • Nine-month probationary period 
  • This is a 2-year fixed-term contract. There may be an opportunity for permanent employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, subject to performance and business needs
